Cover tapes is used for SMD packaging of electronic products and is often used in conjunction with embossing carrier  tape.It is essentially a thin film. The cover tape and carrier tape must match the corresponding width in order to be used. The width of the carrier tape is different, and the cover tape is also divided into different widths. Common widths include 5.3 mm, 9.3 mm, 13.3mm, 21.3mm, 25.5 mm, 37.5mm, etc. Cover straps can be divided into two types: pressure sensitive cover straps (JSRF) and activated cover straps (JSLF).

  Pressure sensitive cover tape (JSRF), which has no adhesive at room temperature and only becomes sticky after heating, is sealed by a sealing machine by melting and pressing the hot melt adhesive of the cover tape onto the surface of the carrier tape. There are double-sided anti-static cover tapes and also single-sided anti-static cover tapes.
